Welcome

Welcome to our school

St Oswald’s CE Aided Primary and Nursery School sits in the heart of Durham City. We have strong links with St Oswald’s Church and the Dioceses of Durham and Newcastle.

Every member of our school, from our youngest nursery pupils to our most experienced members of staff, is valued as an individual and contributes to the happy, caring Christian environment which we strive to create.

We encourage our pupils to develop as individuals by promoting independence, care for our world and respect for others. Our school has established a tradition of achieving high standards within a caring and supportive environment where all children are encouraged to do their best.

We aim to instill, in our pupils, a love of learning by offering a broad, balanced, and creative curriculum set within an enriching and stimulating learning environment.

We intend for this website to be useful to current and prospective parents and carers. Please do not hesitate to contact the school office if there is anything you would like to discuss.
